Why an Eco-Perch
bird feeder

An eco bird feeder offers more than just a place for birds to eat — it creates a small but meaningful connection between your garden and the natural world. At Eco-Perch, each feeder is handcrafted from reclaimed wood, helping reduce waste while giving discarded materials a new purpose. Unlike mass-produced plastic alternatives, every feeder has its own unique character and blends naturally into outdoor spaces. By choosing an eco-friendly feeder, you are not only creating a safe feeding spot for local birds, but also making a simple choice that supports sustainability, wildlife, and a healthier environment right in your own garden.

Bring Life Back

There’s something special about a garden that feels alive. With an Eco-Perch feeder, even the quietest outdoor space can become a daily gathering place for birds — bringing movement, colour, and natural sound back into your surroundings. What starts as a simple feeder quickly turns into a living experience, as birds return again and again, creating a sense of calm, connection, and life right outside your door. It’s an easy, natural way to transform your garden into a space you’ll enjoy every single day.

Eco-Friendly Living

Choosing eco-friendly products doesn’t have to be complicated — it can start with something as simple as what you place in your garden. Eco-Perch feeders are handcrafted from reclaimed wood, reducing waste while giving new life to materials that would otherwise be discarded. By avoiding mass-produced plastics and focusing on sustainable design, each feeder supports a more responsible way of living. It’s a small, practical step toward reducing your environmental impact, while creating a space that supports local wildlife and brings you closer to nature every day.

Our Story

There’s something special about watching birds gather quietly beneath a tree.

For us, it started with a simple little feeding area in the garden — a peaceful corner under a large tree where wild birds would visit throughout the day.

Like many bird lovers, we bought a few commercially available bird feeders over the years. Most were plastic. Some were expensive. While they worked well enough, they never really felt like they belonged in the natural setting we had created. They looked manufactured, artificial, and somehow disconnected from the beauty around them.

So we started experimenting.

We played around with different ideas, shapes, and materials, searching for something that felt more honest — something simple, rustic, and natural. We wanted a feeder that blended into the environment instead of standing out against it. Most importantly, we wanted to create something that would not harm the immediate environment in any way.

That idea became ECO-PERCH.

Every ECO-PERCH feeder is handcrafted from reclaimed wood, giving old timber a second life instead of allowing it to go to waste. The natural grain, imperfections, and character of the wood mean that no two feeders are ever exactly alike — each one carries its own story.

We chose durable natural materials, weather-hardy finishes, and a minimalist design that birds seem to love just as much as we do. The result is a feeder that feels at home outdoors — hanging quietly beneath a tree branch, surrounded by birdsong.

What began as a personal project in a South African garden slowly became something we wanted to share with others who appreciate nature, simplicity and sustainable living.

Today, we make every ECO-PERCH with the same original idea in mind:

To create a beautiful, eco-friendly bird feeder that feels natural, lasts outdoors, and brings people a little closer to nature.
